The reasons why the block ice machine does not make ice are analyzed as follows

1. The power indicator light keeps flashing quickly and the machine does not work:

Fault: The water temperature probe is broken.

Maintenance: Open the rear cover, open the electrical control box cover above the compressor, find a three-core connector, check whether it is falling off or in poor contact, and reconnect it.

2. The 3 ice type lights flash in a cycle and the machine does not work:

Fault: The machine does not make ice or defrost normally;

Maintenance: Restart the machine,

1) First check whether the fan and water pump are working properly. If there is any abnormality, eliminate it first, and then check whether the compressor has started working. If not, check the controller and the accessories of the compressor; if it has started, it is judged that the refrigeration system is faulty and repaired according to the corresponding maintenance method.

2) If the refrigeration system has no faults and can make ice normally, but it keeps making ice without defrosting, the machine will judge that it is abnormal after 90 minutes and stop for protection. It is necessary to use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the water temperature probe (when the water temperature in the water tank is close to 0 degrees, unplug the three-core wire in the control box and measure the resistance of the two wires on both sides). If the resistance is above 27K, it is judged that the controller is broken and should be replaced. If the resistance is lower than 27K, it is necessary to disconnect any one of the two wires and adjust the resistance to between 27K and 28K by connecting a resistor in series.

3. The ice full light flashes quickly.

1) Fault: It means that the de-icing time exceeds the specified time and the machine automatically protects.

Repair: Generally, in this case, restart the machine. If it happens repeatedly, check whether the skateboard swings up and down flexibly. If the two-way solenoid valve is damaged, this phenomenon will also occur. The machine can refrigerate, but when the ice reaches the set thickness and enters the defrosting state, the water pump stops working and the ice does not fall off. Forced defrosting is used during inspection (press and hold the selection key for 3 seconds). If there is no obvious airflow sound in the ice maker, it can be considered that the two-way solenoid valve is broken. You can first check whether the power supply of the solenoid valve is normal. If the power supply is normal, you can replace the coil and test the machine. It is rare that the valve body itself cannot open.

2) Fault: There is no water in the water tank, no water shortage is displayed, and the ice is loose and has impurities.

Repair: This fault is because impurities will remain in the water of the water tank after multiple ice making, or the water is rich in minerals, which will cause scaling on the surface of the water level probe and affect the detection sensitivity of the probe. Drain the residual water and clean the inside of the water tank and the surface of the probe.

4. There is water in the water tank and it shows water shortage.

Repair: Check whether the two-core and three-core connectors in the control box are reliably connected. Reconnecting them generally solves the problem.

5. The water flow of the water spray pipe is not smooth, and some ice cubes are incomplete:

Fault: The water spray pipe hole is blocked;

Maintenance: When the ice is flowing, use tweezers or other sharp objects to clean the debris attached to the water outlet on the water spray pipe until the water flow of each hole is smooth.

6. Ice making is normal but ice removal is difficult or not possible:

Fault: The two-way solenoid valve does not work or is stuck;

Maintenance: After starting the ice machine, after ice cubes are produced on the ice maker, press and hold the selection key for 3 seconds to enter the forced ice removal state. Touch the solenoid valve by hand. If there is no vibration, it means that the power supply of the solenoid valve is abnormal. The control board and wiring should be checked. If there is vibration, you can repeatedly remove the ice several times to solve the problem of some solenoid valves being stuck. If the problem still exists, it means that the solenoid valve is damaged and needs to be replaced.
